Papers and Presentations
My iSchool journey
allowed me to write, analyze, create, reflect, and present both
individually and with a group on various topics concerning people and
information. Many of the topics I chose to present and write about
focused on indigenous populations and issues. However, I also worked on
several group projects focusing on information needs of different
groups including; Seattle wedding planners, non-English materials at
Seattle Public Library, and a NEH grant for the Fiske Genealogical
Library. On the documents and files page of this site, you can download
full text documents and view video files for the following papers and
presentations produced during my iSchool journey.
The Highlight of my ischool career was taking Adult Reader's Advisory with Seattle's own Nancy Pearl.
Seattle's readers’ advisory queen Nancy Pearl taught techniques and theories for advising adult readers. Each session, I presented and received critique on at least one book talk. I also discoved some amazing non-fiction and fiction books for every reader. Nancy taught me the joys of reading all over again!
